INFOCOS – Instituto de Formação do Cooperativismo Solidário – a non profit association, recognized by federal law, with national coverage, was founded in August 2005 by Central CRESOL Baser, as an institution for Education, Training and Qualification for family farmers, organized in cooperatives. Current affiliation is comprised of one Credit Center, 08 Regional Service Bases and 75 Individual Cooperatives.
Our Working Guidelines
Structuring processes for training in cooperativism oriented towards solidary and sustainable development.
• Valuing and Promotion of training processes, stemming from the experiences of cooperatives of family agriculture, with the aim to support the members in realizing their own life projects and, in this way, remaining in their own activities, strengthening the bonds with their production and family unit, with cooperativism and the community.
• Strengthening of Credit for Cooperativism, though improved application of governmental resources, such as PRONAF – Programa Nacional de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (National Program for Strengthening of Family Agriculture).
• Development of a learning process enabling the construction of a sense of critical awareness and capability in understanding, intervention and transformation of local and regional realities.
• Consolidation of partnerships, of in order to socialize about experiences in cooperative entrepreneurship, with entities of a similar nature and the other players in Family Agriculture.
